Glass jugs, illuminated

When is an image there but not there? This image tries to capture the idea of light and transparency. The back light is like a lightbox used for viewing slides, which is ironic given this was taken with a mobile phone - from one extreme of image making to another. The smoothness of the form of the jugs lends them a sculptural quality, too.

Looking through copper sculpture

I love looking through objects - it sometimes give a sense of separation between two states of being. Here, the intention was to balance the exposure of the sculpture in the foreground with the detail seen through the sculpture. There is also an ambiguity about the sculpture that creates an abstract image.
